Accessibility

We want every calculator to be usable by everyone. The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we have done

• Every page and calculator works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Every input has a text label, and errors are written out in words next to the field they refer to.
• Results are announced to screen readers when they change.
• Charts have a text alternative, and all figures in a chart are also available as text or a table.
• Colour is never the only way information is shown, and text meets contrast requirements in both light and dark themes.
• Animations are turned off if your device asks for reduced motion.
• The layout works from small phones to large screens, and text can be enlarged without breaking the page.

Known limitations

Sliders duplicate the number field above them and are skipped by the Tab key; please use the number field, which accepts exact values.
