inCalculators is a free collection of calculators for everyday decisions: loans and savings, tax, health, maths, dates and land measurements. It is run by Ayub Ali from India.

What makes these calculators different

Most calculator sites give you a number and nothing else. Here, every calculator page explains the formula it uses, works through an example, and lists its assumptions and limits, so you can see how the answer is reached and check it yourself.

The site is built for India first. Money is shown in lakh and crore, loans use the reducing-balance method Indian banks use, GST is split into CGST and SGST, and land units such as bigha and gaj are handled with their state-by-state differences.

How the calculators are checked

• The calculation code is kept separate from the page design and is tested automatically against values worked out independently.
• Every calculator is tested with ordinary values, zero, very large and very small numbers, decimals and invalid entries.
• Each page lists its assumptions and limitations, and shows the date it was last reviewed.
• A calculator is published only when it is complete. Planned calculators are listed as “coming soon” and have no page until they are ready.

What this site is not

The calculators give estimates for information and education. They are not financial, tax, legal or medical advice. For decisions that matter, confirm the figures with your bank, a qualified professional or the relevant office.
